Adams stop-watch exposure meter. Manufactured by Adams and Co., 24 Charing Cross Road, London, WC. Actinometer, very similar to Wynne's Infallible. On the back of the stopwatch calibrated 0-60 secs in 1/5ths. Small minute hand (broken) with seperate dial 0-30mins. Single winding knob for start, stop and return.

Fitted with a Zeiss Tessar lens F: 15cm f/4.5-32, No.118165 in swing mount, screw adjusted. Focal plane shutter, adjustable slit and tension 8/16/32/64/100/150/250/350/500/1000/B/T. Rack and pinion focusing, double extension, ground glass reflex focusing screen, folding hood. Circular spirit level. Rack and pinion rising front. Rotating back, automatically changing focus screen masking horizontal to vertical. Mirror returned by shutter tensioning knob. Compartment with two blockform wooden double darkslides. Brass brown teak construction. Russian leather cover. Adams and Co. Overall (deployed): 355 mm x 170 mm x 210 mm.

Adams Studio Minex camera, 1937. For 1/1 plates; Goerz Dogmar lens F:300 f/5.5 No 389706. Side reflex focusing via internal mirror; cloth hood missing. Focal plane shutter; rack focusing and vertical swing on front; rising front Kodak type sprung reversible back. Bought for £85 in 1937 by Lord Brabazon of Tara, Kodak Director (died 1964). Overall: 524 mm x 380 mm x 490 mm.
